YOSEMITE / CALIFORNIA

Glacier Point /  Yosemite National Park / California

This was the ceremony for Valen and Noah… overlooking Yosemite Valley, on the edge at 7,214 feet.

The day started with Noah making the trip up to Glacier Point to beat the sunrise making a surprise piece of art for his bride in the shape of a heart from materials found on the ground.  Valen looked beautiful in her Mother’s gown and veil, perfect for the setting.   The backdrop was stunning, the weather was ideal.   We laughed, sang, cried, frolicked in meadows, and shared an unforgettable day… just the 3 of us.  When the day neared the end and we were still longing from breakfast, lunch and dinner I didn’t know who I was really.  Was it from starvation?… exhaustion?… alcohol?  Nope.  It’s because throughout the day I was Trinity.  The Photographer.  The Witness.  The Chauffeur.  The Counselor.  The Maid of Honor.  The Best Man. The Event Coordinator.  The DJ.  The Guest.  The one to walk her down the aisle (well, bushes…aisle of bushes)… but, most importantly The Friend:) It was the perfect day in California.

Mr. and Mrs. Keefer continue to live in California. She is the subject of the Award Winning biography “My Favorite American.” PKD survivor & kidney transplant recipient with a mission to educate & inspire one speaking engagement at a time! She is a National spokesperson at University Kidney Research Organization and Founder of South Central PA Chapter – PKD Foundation.  Valen and I first met years back when I photographed her book release party and her kidney donor happens to be My honey’s sister.  :)

It’s great (and gross, hahaaa) to be in the presence of true love.  Valen, you are an inspiration to ME and I wish you both the very best in all of your happy adventurous days!  I look forward to flying out as much as possible to share some of those with you:)  (….. and to sneak out of the house at 2 a.m. to experience the magnificent stars and hug the mountainous curvy roads while jammin’ to my tunes seeing what the rental jeep can do…(shhh! don’t tell my Mother {insert mischievous smile here}
